What In The World Is Green Day Teasing With These Mysterious New Photos?

Earlier this month, a fan seemingly leaked news that Green Day was planning on releasing a new single on July 19. The band's management quickly refuted the rumor, stating there is "definitely no Green Day single any time soon;" however, on July 19 the punk rockers shared a mysterious post on Instagram that seriously seems like they're teasing something, we just have no idea what it is.

The black and white photo gallery begins with the close up of a bull's head and continues to show pictures of frontman Billie Joe Armstrong, bassist Mike Dirnt and drummer Tré Cool, each with an instrument in hand in what appears to be either a recording studio or rehearsal space. The post tags each band member (who also shared it on their personal accounts) but other than that includes no caption.

Check out the enigmatic post below.

Late last year, Armstrong confirmed that he was writing new songs for Green Day; however, didn't share any other details, including when we can expect new music. Revolution Radio came out in 2016, so needless to say we're ready for some new material.

Though we're not sure when we'll be able to hear new tunes, we know we'll be getting something new from the band this fall. A few months ago, the trio announced they were publishing a book called Last of the American Girls on October 29.
