Check Out My Top 10 Grunge Albums

Loudwire boldly ranked the 30 best Grunge Albums of All-time! Definitely reminded of some great listens from the past, and wouldn't mind trackin' down some old Mud Honey, Green River, or Mother Love Bone records. Homer's here I come....

Check out the list here at loudwire.com, and then read the next paragraph for my thoughts on Loudwire's Top 30 Grunge Albums....

I thought Loudwire did an alright job ranking the Top 30, HOWEVER, there was some holes that had me questioning this whole damn list. LIKE: Nirvana's "Bleech" Top 10? Great, but what about their Unplugged album? That easily could have been in the Top 5, but Loudwire didn't even have it in the Top 30! FAIL! Also Mudhoney, Melvins could've been a little higher on the list, as they were the raw sounds that would inspire the Big 4 of Grunge . AND what about the Pixies or Kim Deal's Breeders? Both bands had HEAVY influences on Kurt Cobain, and his writing style, and NO where on the list.

So here's Ryan's Top 10 Grunge Albums....

#10 Pixies "Doolittle" Love the opening track "Debaser"

#9 Smashing Pumpkins "Gish" -  My fav from the album "Rhinoceros"

#8 Temple Of The Dog "Temple Of The Dog" Best track on the album....

#7 Mad Season "Above" AND "Wake Up" one of my favorite songs in LIFE

#6 Alice In Chains "Jar Of Flies" How bout Rotten Apple....

#5 Doesn't get more GRUNGE than Nirvana's "Unplugged"

#4 Pearl Jam "Ten"

#3 Soundgarden "Superunknown" Come on "Black Hole Sun"

#2 Alice In Chains "Dirt"

"Rain When I Die" is one of the most powerful songs I've ever heard...

Well hell, would "Grunge" even have been a thing without this album. Who knows Man...But here's #1 Nirvana "Nevermind"

I picked this one because....

Thanks for playing! -Ryan
