Get a Taste Of Jimi Hendrix's New Release "Both Sides Of The Sky"

NEW Jimi Hendrix album out today! Yeah, it frickin' weird that, but still a notable release none the less. Both Sides Of The Sky will complete the trilogy of releases started in 2010 with Valley of Neptune, and 2013's People, Hell, and Angels. The NEW album does have some familiar titles, "Hear My Train A Comin', Power Of Soul, (full track listing below) and having listened to other previous releases, I don't feel like there will be MANY surprises on the Both Sides Of The Sky. However, still a must have for me, and any other Hendrix fans. More info on the release and recording @ jimihendrix.com

I haven't heard Both Sides in it's entirety yet, but there's a few songs posted on youtube, and I have shared those with you below. I also posted an interview with Jimi's engineer, producer Eddie Kramer talking about going over these recordings, and have that "it' feeling all over again. Jimi's music is fucken magical, mysterious, adventurous...it's fucking impressive, and to go back and live in those moments in 1968-'70 when these were recorded, would be an exciting trip on your headphones. I feel that excitement when is talking about these releases. YEAH, he trying to sell records, but there's passion in his voice, and as described in this Rolling Stone Review of Both Sides Of The Sky, "consider the barrel fully scraped," yeah I'd say so, but Jimi's barrel was pretty fucking awesome. So yeah, maybe I'll see you at Homer's this weekend because I have to complete the trilogy, right!  -RYAN
