If you could travel anywhere overseas this summer, where would you go?
Many Americans are planning international trips for 2025, and there's one place Nebraskans have their eyes on. This destination is so frequently searched by Nebraskans that it was named the state's most searched-for international summer vacation destination of the year!
According to a list compiled by KingLike, Nebraska's most searched-for summer travel destination of 2025 is India. New Jersey also had India as their most searched-for international travel destination this year.
The top three most searched-for summer vacation destination among Americans in 2025 were Greece, the Netherlands, and Indonesia.
Here's what KingLike had to say about sourcing the data to discover the most searched-for international travel destination in each state for 2025:
"To identify the most popular summer vacation destinations across the United States in 2025, we analyzed Google Trends search interest data for all 50 U.S. states between January 1 and March 31, 2025, reflecting spring travel planning for the upcoming summer. We used the search term format “flights to + country”, and looked at data for each of the world’s top 40 most visited countries. To fairly determine the most popular destination in each state, we recorded each state’s relative interest score (0–100) for all 20 destinations. The destination with the highest score was named its most searched-for summer vacation destination."
